Did You know

In the medieval England the word “pygg” was used to denote a special type of clay used to produce houseware. People kept their savings in the pots made of “pygg” and called them “pygg jar”. Over the time the term transformed into a “pig bank” and due to this fact moneyboxes were made in the shape of a pig.
